The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association is soliciting papers from veterinary students for the Ed Hiestand Memorial Scholarship Manuscript Competition. The competition is being held in conjunction with

the NWRA Symposium and is open to all veterinary students. The 2027 Symposium will be held from 16 to 20 February in Chicago, Illinois; it provides lectures, discussions, and networking opportunities to learn about current issues and techniques in wildlife medicine and rehabilitation, as well as a tour of the host's new state-of-the-art facility, the DuPage Wildlife Conservation Center. The conference also offers hands-on workshops, free to students who help with setup and cleanup afterward! This is a great opportunity to meet veterinarians who work with wildlife and learn about potential summer employment or externship programs in wildlife rehabilitation. More information can be found on NWRA's website or in the below PDF.
